8th June
Here I am back in Mannheim after a full crazy month. I never thought it would be like it was; I am completely wiped out and fairly tired from the whole thing. Touring is haaaaaard! At the final leg of the tour, we travelled back to my homeland, Ireland. A gig that I had been looking forward to for a very long time, a gig that I had (honestly) been kaking my pants about for an even longer time! We stopped in Irish soil at the 28th in the night time, and parked all our masses of crap into an unfortunate Aoife O’ Sullivans home! There we were greeted with what can only be described as AN AMAZING WELCOME by Aoife’s Mam and Dad, Rita and John, THANK YOU!! So we settled in and had a BBQ (mmmmmm!) and went out later on that night to a crazy local O’ Dwyers where myself and Aoife sang Big Yellow Taxi on karaoke, well, when I say sang I mean I was hammered, couldn’t sing a note, and Aoife stood there looking at me like I was a complete stranger with 8 heads! I was so embarrcced that I ran off the stage, needless to say, I had a lot of sorrys to say after making a fool of us!
The next morning: 29th May
We took a few headache tablets and headed to Tower Records where we played on their live stage for about 30 or 40 mins, good craic, strange craic, lots of cracks! Haa haa!!! Then that night we chilled out and worked ourselves up for the following night which was..WHELAN’S!!!!!
30th May
This night was amazing. I freaked out cos of how much I enjoyed myself! Really! With family and friends there, I really had no idea what the night was going to be like, would it be a flop? Would it be a flip? I really didn’t know! We went to sound-check, happy with the knowledge that my favourite sound engineer (GERRRRRRY!!!) was hot on the case for the night’s sound entertainment, so that was a load off my mind. I knew that as long as I had a good sound engineer, I had nothing to worry about, then the rest would be up to me and my boys. A swift whiskey and warm up and I was ready to go. The night was electric. The lights were bright, the mood was on fire, the audience were always there with me for every note, my boys were beautiful and tight as ever and gave me goosebumps almost the whole way through the set. Aoife the reefer was beautiful as ever, Aidan was brilliant as ever. We played for 2 hours and had the gig of our life, smiling and joking throughout. What can I say about the night? The Happy Gang were my fuel, making me relax and anticipate, amazing, they were Whelan’s that night, we all got up and played our little hearts out, I haven’t had such fun
I such a long time. That’s why I’m here today, I truly believe that I would be finished if I can’t do things like this; have fun, be myself and give my all, music is my duvet, my heart. I hope you liked the gig. I really do.
Then to finish off was the gig in Finnegans, Wexford, so great to be back in this pub again, Paul Finnegan is one of the coolest horses I ever met, and I want to thank him for everything, EVERYTHING. One of the best pubs in Ireland, lovely atmosphere, lovely heart. Paul, I won’t forget it x. were ye there the gig?! It was some night wasn’t it?! Thank you to everyone who turned out in force to give us a bit of a lift, and a happy ending to our Tour!!! All my friends, all my horses! THANK YOU!!!!
Thank you to:
THE HAPPY GANG (myspace.com/thehappygang)
GERRY our sound engineer
ALLISTER our bodyguard ('get rid a them fuckin' seats!!!!!)
PAULO (go around the back and buy a ticket like everyone else ya cheap fucker!)
THE BIRD FAMILY AND ‚THE BIRD FAMILY’ I don't have words, only love (cheesey, but it’s true!)
THE AUDIENCE; you’re were horses, you’re were the night for me, made me happy, gave me shivers, gave me happy!!..THANK YOU
Have a lovely day everyone, as the sun sets, I have to run home and sleep to be ready for a day in the studio, watch Amilie and flake out! Slain abhaile

Ahhhh, it was a great experience, we had alot of fun! And our present was to go shopping in Camden yesterday...i’m gonna move there! I hopped off the markets, haggeling with the people and rooting through second hand clothes....i love it! It was my favourite part of London tat i had seen, i suppose cos the weather wasn’t the best, it was near enough the ONLY part of London i’d seen (but i must also confess to lazyness!!!! Liz would kick my arse, sometimes id sit in bed until 1pm!) since ive come here ive put on a stone weight!!!hahahahahaaa!!! it was so funny, but i did feck all, just ate, played, slept, ate, drank!!!! ok, now I want to say a few thanks: Peter: You rock, i love you, the best manager in the world...you’re gonna strangle me by the end of the month! Off day! Cool! I had great intentions of going into Camden to do a „Spot a shoooooping“ but it all turned to dust- i woke at 12.30, did’nt get out of bed till 1.30, and then i had a meeting with my „lawwwwwwwyer“ so the day was completely consumed with the business affairs of this BEASTLY vulturous career.....whereas i hope to be successfull daaaaaaahling. I’ve gone „awwwwwllll Laaaandaaaaaan A’in oiiiii? Gawd i’m toir’d (i’m tired!!!)
I’m really tired!!! So talk to you tomorrow, i have a very important gig tomorrow in the Betsy’s so wish me luck!

22nd May
Lovely lovely lovely!
It’s a nice night after a nice gig, I’m home, a little wet from the rain, but smiling to myself cos i met some of my friends from ireland at the gig tonight (hi Eugene, Dee, Jeff, Mags and Ciara!!!) and would you believe i met my second cousin that i never knew before that very night?...she said: „My granny was a Bird“ and through rigorous family tree examination....there was, for sure, would you believe...my second cousin!!!! It was hilarious! I had to meet family in London of all places!
Really cool night tonight! The stage was brilliant, when you walk in-all you can see is a band’s torso...no head, cos they’re standing below a balcony! Also that night, the sound engineer packed away all the equipment, drums, wrapped up wires and set down completey after the band before us...he thought there were no more bands, and packed everything away before we got to play!!! And we were like “does he not know that we still have to play?“ and then we had to ask him to put it all up again...we felt soooo bad! Sorry about that Jon! Lovely venue though, would love to play in it again!
Now I’m going asleep, all this rock and roll lifestyle has gotten to me ;)
Happy happy,

21st of May
Oooohhhh i'm in bits. I'm tired. We had a long night last night, and had to travel through traffic the whole way from Oxford to London, now I'm back in the hotel, waiting to get into our room. Feel a little bit shattered, and last ngiht i was sick as a dog, trying to sing and play the guitar with a Dehli Belly! We were talking a while ago about how important it is to eat and live healthy while on tour, and it's really comming into effect- a hard night can leave ya slow for a whole day after! Luckily we've been pretty good so far with our healthy living...how do ?The Rolling Stones" do it??? (now i'm reminded of a story i heard that he got a blood transfusion to stay young...I'm due in for mine next week!)
The gig last night was grand, was a little bit tired and cranky from being sick, but i tried my best to do my best anyway! Thanks to Mars the promoter, our sound engineer Pawel and everyone there who was cheering and freaking!
Gona sleep for a year now!

20th of May,
Hi everyone! Ahhhh, coffee! Sitting in a coffe shop in Oxford at the moment, this place is really lovely! We played an absolutely brill gig last night, we had alot to be happy (and laugh) about. the promoter was super nice and we were laughing, we thought he was on acid he was that happy! And so our sound engineer was a total cutie, he played the drums impromptu for the band Different Reasons (hi guys, you were lovely!) but as the song went on, it was clear that the band felt happier as a duo, and sacked the drummer mid song!! It was harsh, and even harder to watch...then the guy just sat there all night behind the drums and didnt move!!! (wish you could have been there!) so anyway we got on stage, and i said thank you to the guys before us...then completely blanked and couldn't remember their names for the life of me- you know when that happens???! And then i was like ?it's lovely to be here in LONDON and they were like ?OOOOOOOXFORD" so a perfect start...gets better! Then the gig was brilliant, we really had a fucking good night, decided to go home so we stopped at a petrol station for some beers for the hotel, and i almost got in a fight with a real proper ?Lady" a term i use very loosely for his woman! She was crazy, just ask the lads, but i woulda kicked her arse!
So we went back to the hotel, celebrated (got hammered!) and made lots of videos, (when i just read over that, it looked a little funny!) hopefully we can put them up! Lots has happened since we got here! I'm having a ball!!!!
Write again tomorrow, and fill you all in some more!
Happy happy, from Wallis, Christian, Michael, Peter, Liz and our current evil bed and breakfast host!
(this woman is also a ?lady", we told her that Liz my Publisher is a doctor- Doctor Liz Riches and Peter is a famous Porn Star!)

Next day 17th May
I’m just here in my temporory flat in London, after a good sleep, watching stoopid television, doing everything i can to relax to the point of sedation! We have a gig almost every day we are here in London, so it’s really cool to keep busy, every day is gonna be like growing up. We’ve never had the chance to play so intensivly, so im looking forward to how this two weeks goes! Last night we played in a club in West Kensington called The Orange Club. it was good fun, we enjoyed ourselves and i managed to catch hold of this savage fella called Indiford (check myspace.com/indiford, support new artists lads!!!) and this chap was really cool, super good songs and a lovely voice, i think i’ll have to keep my eyes open for his guy!
So now there is Michael and Peter now, just after a healthy run in Hyde park, they said they followed a lovely arse all the way, so they enjoyed themselves!!! Im gonna go back to the room now and flake out a little bit more before our gig in the marvelously named GINLIK IN SHEPARDS BUSH, it’s a renovated victorian toilet, so you can only imagine the jokes we’ve gotten out of this one, ginlik in the bush....staring my career in a tiolet!!! The list is endless. Well i would love to write forever but ill write more tomorrow, have a nice day x

London Baybe!!!!!
16th May
Awwwwroi?! Here we are in lovely London, after our first day, we settled into our flat immediately, went into town, tubed it all the way, and had a quick look around. I’m really looking forward to the following two weeks here! It’s a little bit exciting, cos now i feel like a fairly professional, professional...touring and all! First gig is tonight....eek! (...click the pictures...)
10th-15th of May
The past 5 days have been absolutely mind blowing, I bought a really super cool bike direct from the 70’s,
that if it was a person, i think i would be in love cos of how happy it makes me!!! Then the next day we won the Becks competition to play the German festival Southside, and we were really excited about it so that night we went back to my local pub to celebrate and i was sitting there kinda feeling a bit low cos i couldn’t share it with my heads at home....and then who strolls in, normal as you like...only Aoife O’ Sullivan from home!!! Peter my lovely lovely manager flew her over...it was the best surprise ever, i was so happy and shocked that the tears just poured out of my eyes!! How cool eh?! Thank you so much Peter x!
And when i thought it couldn’t get better, the next morning, i went into the Karakter office and THERE WAS MY FANTASTASTIC NEW LAKEWOOD GUITAR!!! I got it only 4 days ago, and i have played it to death already!! It sounds and looks gorgeous, so i have to think of a name for it now! And for the next couple of days i was organinising to go to London, but so much has happened, I’m really such a lucky girl right now, and i don’t know where to start to say thank you, so all i do is smile, i figure that a smile is contageous so maybe i’m shedding a few good vibes in the world!
